Our Great Deliverer

Is there something tough that you’re facing right now? A trial that just won’t quit, and the end doesn’t seem anywhere in sight? Maybe you’re currently in a place of stillness, but you’ve been through a trial, and you remember how difficult it was.

For all of us life can bring some very unexpected, and very painful twists. Our relationships, health, jobs, and much more can be attacked.

Maybe we’re so far into the fray we don’t even see a clear path out.

Maybe we’re tired, because we’ve been fighting for so long. Trying our best to do the right thing, even though it doesn’t seem like it’s paying off.

We’ve almost reached our breaking point. Or maybe we’re already there. And the desire to quit is getting more and more tempting with each passing second.

If you’re going through anything like this, know that you are seen.

The Creator of the universe has witnessed all that you are going through, and He cares very deeply. He loves you.

Regardless of where your current relationship or view of God stands, I encourage you to lift up your concerns to Him. He is big enough to provide for ANY need that we have.

In His love, know that He wants to help you. In order for that to occur, we just have to trust Him enough to let Him in. And then trust Him enough to bring the transformation in our lives that needs to take place.

In 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) it says, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

When we acknowledge that Jesus can take care of any need we have, it gives us hope, and allows us to imagine a better future and outcome before it has even arrived.

I’ve found personally that trusting in the God who is the very essence of love provides joy and peace, even in the difficult times.

I’m not perfect with this by any means. And there are still moments where I struggle to always trust His timing and provision.

But when I surrender everything up to Him, He always meets me with warmth and reassurance.

He tells me that it will be okay. And I know that He will greet you in the same manner.

Psalm 34:19-20 (NIV) says, “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.”

When I read this passage several days ago, an important line caught my attention.

“The Lord delivers him from them ALL.

We may be facing sickness, addiction, heartbreak, loss, burnout, or any other form of misery. Possibly even several all at once.

But in spite of this, we can hold to the promise that every single issue that we have will be rectified by the Lord. He will fully restore us.

Something I do want to make clear though, is that we may very well find that not all of our hurts are healed at once. It can sometimes take time for these things in our life to come full circle into something better.

For some, they may find that a few of their trials follow them to the grave.

Even when it takes a while to see the healing come, or maybe the healing doesn’t come on this side of life, hold to the hope that you will eventually find relief.

I’m a firm believer in the idea that what isn’t restored on this side of existence, will be made new when we finally get to Heaven.

I know it’s hard to wait. Especially when every day is a struggle, and it feels like we continue to lose large amounts of energy. Falling deeper into the trenches of torment.

But I promise you, healing will come if you allow Jesus to work in your situation.

We can only get so far in our own power. Quite frankly, we barely get anywhere at all.

But in Jesus all things are possible. He grants us the strength to conquer giants. Whether they be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.

The only thing required is our surrender to Jesus, allowing Him to be savior and Lord of our life.

When you build into a relationship with Him, the pain you’re facing may not suddenly stop. But it will absolutely become more bearable.

He will take the trial you are in and turn it into something beautiful. Remember that He loves you and He cares for you. You’re His kid, and you mean the absolute world to Him. Let Him deliver you from the burden you’re carrying.

I hope this holiday season is treating you all well. I know it gets a little crazy balancing everything from Thanksgiving up through New Years. But though the season can be crazy, it’s also a time that can be filled with wonder and love. I wish you all the best, and until next time, peace out.
